Die Basis jeder Messdatenauswertung ist die zeitlich synchrone Erfassung relevanter Daten an charakteristischen Stellen innerhalb einer automatisierten Anlage. Dabei können unterschiedlichste Signalquellen gemischt werden. Durch die isochrone Messung können kausale Zusammenhänge auch in komplexen verteilten Systemen erkannt und verstanden werden.

Klassische Messsysteme erfassen elektrische Sensorsignale mit Hilfe von Analog/Digital-Wandlern. Die meisten interessierenden Messwerte sind aber im Zeitalter digitaler Regelsysteme bereits in der Automatisierung vorhanden. iba bietet daher vielfältige Möglichkeiten, um direkt auf die internen Werte von Steuer- und Regelsystemen zuzugreifen.

Ihre Verbindung mit fast jedem System
Ein wesentliches Merkmal des iba-Systems ist die ausgeprägte Konnektivität zu Automatisierungssystemen. Über Feldbusverbindungen, Ethernetprotokolle oder Systemanschaltungen kann ein iba-Messwerterfassungssystem an fast jedes gängige Automatisierungssystem angeschlossen werden – unabhängig von Hersteller und Gerätegeneration.

Messdaten anfordern im laufenden Betrieb
Für viele Systeme sind Xplorer-­Schnittstellen und die sogenannte Request-Technik verfügbar, mit der interne Variablen der Steuerung wahlfrei angefordert werden können. So können Sie ohne Unterbrechung der Steuerung Messwerte neu zusammenstellen und an die entsprechende Anforderung anpassen. Die Messwerte werden dabei einfach über ihren symbolischen Namen angesprochen. Bei der Request-Technik wird ein Software-Agent einmalig in der Steuerung eingebunden. Die Daten werden über UDP oder Feldbusse ausgegeben.

Das iba-System erfasst alle relevanten Daten in Maschinen oder gesamten Produktionsanlagen. Egal ob schnelle Analogwerte (bis zu 100 kHz) direkt von Sensoren kommen, Daten über Feldbusse ausgetauscht werden oder Variablen aus Automatisierungssystemen.
