What’s new in this version?
Image overlays can be defined, for example to hide privacy sensitive areas of the video or to add lines for calibration or measurement.
ibaCapture now supports the H.265/HEVC video codec for compatible network cameras. Using H.265/HEVC allows to keep video quality high while reducing network bandwidth and storage requirements.
It is now possible to protect ibaCapture-ScreenCam instances with a password. When a password is set, the password must be entered in ibaCapture to receive the video stream. To apply this function, ibaCapture-ScreenCam v5.0.0 needs to be installed.
In Scenario Player, the replay speed can now be adjusted dynamically by specifying it in an ibaPDA signal.
Information regarding licenses
With ibaCapture v5 WIBU licensing is introduced. Due to this, the following applies:
Existing ibaCapture v4 licenses with an EUP date of July 8th, 2020 or later will continue to work with ibaCapture v5.0.
Other existing licenses will need to be migrated to WIBU licenses. Contact your local iba support to start a migration request. Please include an ibaDongleViewer information file and an ibaCapture support file with your request.
All ibaCapture licenses from new orders will be delivered as WIBU licenses.
