New Features
The way in which configurations are applied and exchanged between client and server has been fundamentally reworked in order to improve stability and reduce errors. For both, client and server version 4.0.0 or higher is required. This does not affect the configuration files. The configuration xml-files are forward compatible as usual and upgrading ibaDatCoordinator does not change them.
When applying a changed configuration, a backup of the previous configura-tion is automatically created. This applies for any configuration change.
Only one client connected to the server can be in the editing mode, all other clients connected to the same server are in read-only mode. Here the setting controls are disabled and no changes can be made.
New buttons for apply or undo the configuration for all jobs are added.
ibaDatCoordinator v4.0.0 introduces a new node ‘License information’ in the status tree. On this node, users will find the license overview ‘Used licenses’ and the available license containers.
With the option “Process trigger in the past” for scheduled jobs, ibaDatCoordinator uses the last trigger and restarts at the next unprocessed trigger. With this, no triggers are missed if ibaDatCoordinator is down for some time (e.g. for maintenance).
The ibaHD-Server selection dialog has been expanded by the option to mark certain servers as favorites. Also a new tab “Favorites” has been added, providing the list of favorites. Favorites are stored after closing the dialog.
An Html5 manual is integrated in ibaDatCoordinator. The manual is opened via the item “Help” in the menu “Help” or by pressing F1 anywhere in ibaDatCoordinator. This works context sensitive, meaning that the help will navigate to the page belonging to the current window.
The time period update task has been added to the time period job. This allows to write to or update info fields and computed columns using a pdo-file created with ibaAnalyzer (v8.3.0 or higher). ibaDatCoordinator-Publish license is required for each task.
Important bugfixes and improvements
The status bar showing the configured jobs has a new icon indicating if the job is running or stopped.
The SNMP server V3 security standards have been extended.
Incorrect overlays are not shown in the status grid anymore.
ibaDatCoordinator does not crash when the e-mail test button is used.
