We recently discovered a problem caused by the CodeMeterRuntime installer which we deliver with our software.
The current version of this installer which is shipped with ibaPDA v8.8.0 and ibaCapture v5.3.2 does not work correctly in all cases.
This erroneous installation can prevent other iba software products (especially ibaDatCoordinator, ibaAnalyzer 32-bit version, and ibaPDA running in 32-bit mode) from finding licenses.
Further, all installers for products which require a valid EUP date do not recognize the license in this case and simply continue the installation without checking the EUP date.
This issue can be prevented or resolved in the following ways:
Do not upgrade to ibaPDA v8.8.0 or ibaCapture v5.3.2 but rather wait for the upcoming bugfix versions (ibaPDA v8.8.1 and ibaCapture v5.3.3) scheduled for later this week.
If you already have one of these versions installed, you can run the CodeMeterRuntime v8.10a installer manually and select the option “Repair” (you can find the installer in a “Installers” subdirectory of the software installation directory, for example C:Program FilesibaibaPDAInstallers).
