New features
This new firmware version supports the new module ibaM-4AI-IEPE. ibaM-4AI-IEPE is a new input module for the ibaMAQS modular system, which is designed for the acquisition of mechanical vibrations with IEPE vibration sensors. It was released in March 2025. Different input modes can be set per channel, IEPE input mode with 1 Hz or 0.1 Hz high-pass filter and an internal constant current source of 4 mA for the sensors or 24V input modes without any power source.
A diagnostics module was added for all IO modules. Now there are diagnostics signals available, such as hardware state, channel errors and the calibration date.
A watchdog was added to ibaM-COM: In case of any module error ibaM-COM will reboot automatically. By default, the watchdog is disabled.
The auto-updating functionality was added to ibaM-DAQ and ibaM-COM: If enabled, the firmware of new mounted modules is updated automatically after a restart if required.
For both head stations, ibaM-DAQ and ibaM-COM, a new structure in the I/O manager of PDA was added:
The ibaM-DAQ interface was renamed to MAQS and the IO node and the ibaM-DAQ-IO module were merged to one ibaM-DAQ module.
The ibaM-COM and the ibaM-COM-DIAG module were merged to one ibaM-COM module.
All these new features require ibaPDA v8.10.0 (or higher).
