What’s new in this version?
Version 4.1.0 offers a substantially reworked client interface for configuring jobs and tasks, together with improvements for the individual job handling.
Important note: Due to a breaking change, the configuration files created with this new version cannot be read with older ibaDatCoordinator versions. Configuration backups are done automatically and can be used for downgrading back to the old version, if necessary.
New Features and Improvements
- Reworked task configuration: job action buttons are relocated to the top of the panel, several settings have been visually reduced to put more focus on the active configuration.
- New task creation menu replacing the old icon strip for adding tasks.
- A configuration consistency check is now performed when a job is saved or started, similar to ibaPDA.
- Scheduled jobs can be configured as HD or non-HD variants, simplifying setups that only use the scheduler.
- Notifications: a new central "Email accounts" settings tab reduces per-job e-mail configuration.
- New DatCoordinator server selection dialog, aligned with the ibaPDA/ibaHD dialogs.
- DAT-file jobs can now process zipped DAT files.
- It is possible to limit the number of scanned subdirectories in DAT-file jobs to avoid large folder scans.
- New event-job option to process data from one incoming event to the next incoming event.
- Convenient multi-signal selection and drag & drop in the value table for several publish tasks.
- For security reasons, script tasks are disabled by default and must be activated in the settings, if necessary.
Important Bugfixes
- Scheduled jobs: reprocessing past triggers now works correctly after a stop/restart, and the first past trigger is no longer skipped.
- Event jobs: the "Process existing events" option is no longer deactivated when leaving the job window, and an event job processes events again when re-run with an unchanged configuration.
- Time-period job: configuration changes now take effect while the job is running.
- Ctrl+A now selects text in input fields instead of applying the complete configuration.
