What’s new in this version?
In this new Version v8.4.0 of ibaAnalyzer a reworked database interface and data extractor is integrated as well as new length-based delay functions, plus numerous signal handling improvements.
Important note: The support for MS Access as a database provider has been discontinued.
New Features and Improvements
- The HD condition query has been extended to compare two signals with each other instead of only comparing a signal against a constant.
- New functions DelayLengthL and DelayLengthV for length-based signal delay, frequently needed for material-tracking analyses.
- The database extractor now includes a schema-change handling dialog for validating any changes to the tables and an option to save this as SQL statement.
- The HD event table can now display data from several event stores at once.
- Data extractor usability: multiple computed columns can be added at once.
- The OneShot function now works also for text signals.
- Drag & drop now works for groups of logical expressions.
Important bugfixes
- Extraction to CSV did not reliable work with a large number of signals.
- HD event data were not always loaded reliably and the HD signal-tree structure could be shown in a wrong way.
- Results of the InSpectra-Expert view now deliver the correct timestamp with the AA filter swithhed on and speed signals are now converted from rpm to Hz correctly.
- Changing a line chart to FFT view works for MATLAB files.
- Exporting video with a specific range defined by a digital signal was broken.
- Fixed a crash when using the help button after extracting from a file group.

- Resolved the “Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in the iba Install Agent”. For more information see IBA-2026-07.
