What’s new in this version?
To run ibaHD-Server v3.6.x the EUP date of 2026-03-31 or later is needed.
New Features
- Store Migration: You can now move a time based store - including all its time period stores - to a new ibaHD Server without doing a backup first. While the store is being moved, it temporarily stops receiving new data. You can continue to write data to all other stores on the same PC as usual.
- Server Access Management: Administrators can reserve HD Client licenses for specific PCs. They can also exclude specific PCs or IP address ranges from connecting. This works exactly the same way as the license reservation in ibaPDA.
- System Information: The ibaHD-Manager now displays system details and allows you set an alias name for the server. Other iba tools – such as ibaPDA and ibaAnalyzer - use this information to help you find the correct ibaHD Server more easily.
Important Improvements
- For newly added HD stores, the intermediate store is activated by default. This default setting aligns with the general recommendation to apply the intermediate store.
- Display the number of configured time periods in a new column in the store overview table on the “General” page.
- ibaHD-API: improvements in sending values of bit decoder at the raw level. The response time for ‘GetRawChannelData’ request has been reduced.
Bugfixes
- During a DAT file import, the names of the subgroups were not used.
- Several user rights were not displayed correctly on the user management page.
- Restoring a backup to a custom path would failed if an intermediate store was configured for this store at a path that no longer existed.
- Importing duplicate DAT files can lead to data loss at aggregation levels where the data in the DAT file overlaps.
- ibaHD-API: The “isData” property for numeric event fields and text fields was always false.
