What’s new in this version?
Note
This new version of ibaHD-Server changes the format of event stores, which is not compatible to older versions of ibaHD-Server and cannot be used with versions older than v2.4.0 anymore.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended to make a backup of all HD stores, which can be used in case an older version of ibaHD-Server must be reinstalled.
Important improvements
With this new version of ibaHD-Server it is possible to generate offline events. The offline events can be used for calculating KPIs or other computed values based on existing dat files (in combination with the ibaDatCoordinator and ibaAnalyzer) and storing these KPIs as part of the message text of offline events. It is also possible to search special production situation in existing dat files and add an event for this situation in the event store of ibaHD-Server.
The function of online events was extended so that several ibaPDA servers can now write into the same event store of the ibaHD-Server. So, it is possible to collect all events of a production line which is recorded by different ibaPDA systems in only one event store. And if necessary, also in one event.
The connected clients to the ibaHD-Server are listed at the connections tab in the ibaHD-Manager GUI. The displayed information of the connected client includes now the user name, the client version of the connected client tool, the IP address and the current data throughput.
In this version of ibaHD-Server it is possible to activate one of the following three clean-up strategies for backups:
- Limit disk quota - limit the size of the backup on the hard disk / network drive – the oldest HD backup is deleted if the given limit is reached.
- Keep minimal xx GB free disk space by deleting the oldest backup.
- Delete backups older than the entered given time range in years, months and days.
With ibaHD-Server v2.4.0 an additional user right is available: ‘Delete ibaHD data’. A logged in user needs this right for deleting any signal or events from the stores with the ibaHD-Manager or during the configuration in ibaPDA client. With this feature the rights of each individual user can be assigned.
Important bugfixes
In this new version of ibaHD-Server the restoring function checks the type of the source store and the target store and prohibits the restoring in case of a difference. Thereby a corruption of an existing store with wrong data is excluded.
The loss of Annotations during the restoring of an event store is resolved.
The start of the ibaHD-Server service will not be interrupted in case of a corrupted diagnostic store.
