ibaPDA - PDA2018-15

ibaPDA software release version v6.39.12.

What’s new in this version?

New features

The S7-Xplorer redundant module can now also be used for S7 software redundancy solutions without S7-400H CPUs.

Improvements

Support for the upcoming .NET framework v4.8. Please note that previous ibaPDA versions will not work with .NET framework v4.8.

In the Modbus-TCP-Client interface the former separated input and output modules are now merged into a bidirectional module which uses only one common connection.

The time needed to establish OPC UA client interface connections during the validation has been shortened.

Important bugfixes

Updating the OPC UA server address space during the start of the acquisition is faster now.

The S7 address book generation for some specific TIA projects did not work properly.

The S7 address book generator did not parse the Step7 hardware configuration export correctly when power or counter modules were present. This is required for using the address book in symbolic sniffer configuration with the PROFIBUS bus monitors ibaBM-DP and ibaBM-DPM-S.

For full reference on other included new features, improvements and bugfixes please download this new version and check the included version history document.

General announcements

The Siemens product SIMATIC STEP 7 V13 SP1 is cancelled and discontinued by Siemens since Dec. 1, 2016.

For this reason the support of the address book generation from SIMATIC STEP 7 V13 SP1 projects in ibaPDA is also cancelled. The existing features remain unchanged and can still be used but no further development or bug fixing will be done.

The address book generation from SIMATIC STEP 7 V14 and V15 projects will continue to be maintained.
