Engineering – Design and Configuration of the iba System for Energy Applications
Training for Energy Applications
This training provides a structured overview of the design and configuration of the iba system for energy applications. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the system’s functions for data acquisition, storage, and analysis, and learn how to design, implement, and integrate iba systems into new and existing energy systems.
The course includes an introduction to the iba system architecture, including ibaPDA, ibaAnalyzer, ibaDatCoordinator, and ibaHD-Server, as well as their interaction within a client-server structure.

After the seminar, participants will be equipped to perform the following tasks
- Design of Data Structures and System Architecture
Plan and design data structures, signal organization, and system architecture for efficient data acquisition and analysis in energy applications. - Engineering Installation and Maintenance of the iba System
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of iba hardware and software, including system setup, diagnostics, updates, and user management. - Understand System Architecture and ibaPDA
Introduction and system overview of ibaPDA as well as understanding of the client-server architecture. - Configuration of the I/O System for Energy Applications
Configuration of modules and signals, including signal settings, signal groups, and alarms for integrating measurement systems. - Configuration of Data Recording and Data Storage
Setup of acquisition profiles, trigger settings, cleanup strategies, and post-processing. Integration and use of ibaHD-Server for centralized data storage. - Data Analysis with ibaAnalyzer
Understanding the structure of measured data, creation and use of analysis files, and application of mathematical, logical, and technological functions using the expression editor. - Automated Data Processing with ibaDatCoordinator
Configuration and use of ibaDatCoordinator for automated data processing and analysis workflows.
