The iba system enables high-resolution, time-synchronous acquisition of process, control, and sensor data, making even short-term or intermittent faults traceable. ibaPDA continuously records relevant signals from PLCs, fieldbuses, and drive systems. With ibaAnalyzer, signal trends can be correlated in detail and the exact timing of anomalies can be identified. This allows maintenance teams to isolate root causes faster and implement targeted corrective actions.

High-resolution raw data enables early detection of anomalies and gradual changes in process behavior. With ibaPDA and edge analytics applications such as ibaInCycle or ibaInSpectra, limit violations and abnormal vibration patterns can be identified in real time. This allows maintenance activities to be planned condition-based before critical failures occur. As a result, unplanned downtime is reduced and plant availability is sustainably improved.

In heterogeneous production environments, data from different controllers, sensors, and fieldbus systems must be analyzed together. The iba system provides a unified platform for synchronous data acquisition across multiple vendors and communication standards using ibaPDA, ibaBM modules, and ibaPDA-PLC-Xplorer. This gives maintenance teams a consistent view of the entire process. Correlations between mechanical, electrical, and control-related events can therefore be identified much faster.

Continuous long-term recording with ibaHD-Server allows operating conditions, loads, and process deviations to be analyzed over extended periods. Using ibaAnalyzer and ibaDatCoordinator, reports, trends, and KPIs can be generated automatically from this data. Maintenance activities can therefore be aligned with actual wear conditions instead of relying on fixed schedules. This improves shutdown planning and increases maintenance efficiency.

Time-synchronous acquisition of all relevant process signals enables precise analysis of critical operating conditions and safety-related events. With ibaPDA, data from controllers, drives, vibration sensors, and fieldbuses can be recorded using a common time base. This makes cause-and-effect relationships transparent and allows malfunctions to be traced reliably. As a result, fault diagnostics become safer, intervention risks are reduced, and the service life of plant components is extended.
