Data management and data analysis enhanced

News,

New versions of ibaAnalyzer and ibaDatCoordinator optimize signal and data handling

Two engineers are standing and sitting in front of a dual-monitor setup, looking at a 3D data visualization and other graphs of ibaAnalyzer.

The more complex a production process becomes, the more variables have to be monitored - and the more challenging becomes the task to keep track of all signal values and to bring order into the resulting measurement data. With the new versions of ibaAnalyzer and ibaDatCoordinator, iba AG extends the functionality of the established tools. At the same time, the connection of the iba system in database and cloud environments is extended. With the newly implemented upload task of ibaDatCoordinator, files can be automatically transferred to third-party systems (Azure Datalake, AWS S3, FTP, SFTP, SCP) and characteristic values calculated with the publish task can be published via SQL database, Apache Kafka, OPC UA or SNMP. Thus, users can also use the "iba data" outside the iba system. In addition, version 3 of the data management program offers the possibility to automatically process data that is not available in iba format (CSV or TXT files, Comtrade files, Parquet files, Danieli FDA files).

Extraction in databases and files: configuration and interactive execution becomes license-free

In addition, iba AG also improves the user experience of ibaAnalyzer: On the one hand, the new cross-reference table simplifies the resolution of cross-references. In the future, this will enable users to see at a glance all signals used by the currently opened analysis. A mouse click then navigates the view quickly and easily to the corresponding location. On the other hand, with the newly introduced Target Search, individual signals from a diagram can be identified in a target-oriented manner by mouseover. This simplifies the search for outliers and deviations, especially in analyses with overlaid graphs. With the current versions, the licensing of the extraction functions DB-Extract and File-Extract is also adjusted. These functions can be used to transfer data from a measurement file directly into a database or into another data format. With this innovation, users of ibaAnalyzer v8 can for the first time configure the extraction functions license-free and execute them interactively - and thus take an important step towards more order in the management and analysis of measurement data.
