These data can be generated either through modules with external timestamps, such as IEC 61850, or via a special data storage profile that samples signals based on a trigger signal. The HD storage system organizes the data into various aggregation levels, ensuring that both raw data and condensed information are always accessible.
The enhanced text creation module allows users to define custom data structures and convert them directly into XML or JSON formats. Configuration is made intuitive through drag-and-drop functionality, enabling seamless integration of signals. These structured data formats can then be flexibly utilized, for instance, in communication via HTTP(S) interfaces.
Switching Measurement Units Online for Data Visualization
Another key improvement is the revised unit system, which allows users to switch the measurement units of acquired data online effortlessly. The signals remain stored in their original units, while visualization can be dynamically adjusted – for example, from the metric system to the imperial system. This unit conversion applies to both ibaPDA and ibaHD data, simplifying cross-border collaboration and allowing operators to view data in multiple unit systems simultaneously. With version 8.9, ibaPDA strengthens its role as a reliable tool for industrial data analysis. These innovations provide greater flexibility and make even complex data structures easier to interpret.
