For using ibaPDA v8.12.x you need an ibaPDA license with a valid EUP date of 2025‑10‑22 or later.
What’s new in this version?
Important improvements and bugfixes
- System information such as alias, location, and description can now be configured in the I/O Manager. This metadata is displayed in the server selection dialog and written to dat files.
- The new CAN interface supports data acquisition from CAN bus via a CAN-Ethernet gateway (EMS EtherCAN CI-ARM9/RMD-IBA). This solution is the successor of our existing ibaBM-CAN.
- A new S7-Xplorer decoder redundant has been added. This allows the use of a decoder module also with redundant S7 controllers.
- The new Energy Aggregation module allows for efficient aggregation of energy consumption data over time intervals.
- S7 request modules will communicate with devices now in parallel to reduce acquisition startup time. If the configuration has not changed, the initialization procedure will also be skipped to reduce the startup time even more.
- For S7 requests modules the IP address of ibaPDA can now be configured manually, when ibaNet-E or S7 UDP is used as data path. This allows different network paths to be used for configuration data and process data.
- The read performance of Logix-Xplorer connections is improved, due to read requests will be sent in parallel to the PLC.
- Time periods now support two new columns: AutoClosed and DataMissing. Time periods are automatically closed when the maximum duration is reached. The DataMissing column is marked when ibaPDA is not acquiring data during the complete time period duration. This feature requires ibaHD-Server v3.5.0 or higher.
- The email interface now supports OAuth2 authentication for Microsoft Exchange Online. Address fields now support placeholders, and a test value can be defined via a new “Test value” column in the “Fields” tab.
