In modern industrial and energy applications, the requirements for signal acquisition and processing continue to increase. In addition to sensor signals, equipment states, switching operations, and events must be integrated reliably, precisely, and flexibly into existing measurement and analysis systems, regardless of voltage level or application environment.

With the new ibaM-8DI-24V and ibaM-8DI-220V digital input modules, iba AG expands the modular ibaMAQS measurement system with additional components for flexible acquisition of digital signals in industrial and energy-related applications.

Each module provides eight galvanically isolated digital inputs. They acquire digital input signals with a configurable time base starting at 10 µs. In addition, each channel is equipped with a dedicated debounce filter to ensure reliable signal acquisition, even in demanding industrial environments. The modules support a wide range of applications, from the acquisition of conventional 24 V and 220 V digital control signals to specialized tasks in power generation and distribution.
The ibaM-8DI-220V module, in particular, has been designed for energy-sector environments where dependable signal processing is essential. Thanks to its OVC III (300 V) overvoltage category rating, the module offers high robustness against mains-related voltage transients.

The ibaMAQS system acquires signals using a central unit, either the ibaM-DAQ processor module or the ibaM-COM communication module, which can be combined with up to 15 different I/O modules. This enables measurement systems to be tailored precisely to application-specific requirements. The I/O modules do not require a separate power supply, as they are powered directly via the module-to-module interface. By expanding the ibaMAQS portfolio, iba AG further enhances the versatility of its modular measurement system and provides additional options for precise, scalable data acquisition in industrial and energy applications.
