Real Time Vibration Monitoring

ibaInSpectra

ibaInSpectra is used to continuously monitor any vibrations in real time in order to detect possible sources of error at an early stage. As ibaInSpectra is integrated in ibaPDA, not only mere vibration analyses can be performed, but also possible relations between vibrational effects and process behavior can immediately be detected.

Real Time Analysis: Open and Versatile

With ibaInSpectra, the signals can be monitored time-synchronously and continuously and the current frequency analyses can be displayed in real time.

In contrast to many other vibration monitoring systems, ibaInSpectra is not a manufacturer-specific system or limited to individual machines, but rather uses the wide connectivity of iba products. Thus, it is perfectly made for the use in heterogeneous automation structures, that are characterized by a great number of different technical disciplines and controller types. Due to the smooth integration in ibaPDA, vibrational measurement data as well as other machine, process, material and quality data can be acquired centrally and related to each other. Hence, besides the pure vibration analysis of a single machine, also possible effects of the vibrations on the process stability and product quality can be detected. In addition to mechanical vibrations, any other signals can also be monitored and analyzed in the frequency spectrum with ibaInSpectra.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

ibaInSpectra enables continuous real-time monitoring and analysis of vibrations directly during operation. Frequency spectra, time signals, and characteristic values are calculated and visualized online, allowing anomalies to be detected early and potential fault sources to be identified reliably.

Through seamless integration into ibaPDA, ibaInSpectra can acquire and analyze vibration data together with machine, process, material, and quality data in a time-synchronized manner. This makes it possible to directly identify correlations between mechanical vibrations, process stability, and product quality.

Using the Auto-Adapting technology of ibaInSpectra, reference spectra for different operating conditions can be learned automatically. The system continuously compares current spectra with the learned reference state and detects even the smallest changes at an early stage — before quality issues or machine damage occur.

ibaInSpectra supports orbit analysis for monitoring shaft motion and bearing conditions. Orbit diagrams, shaft centerlines, eccentricities, and distances to the bearing clearance can be visualized and evaluated in real time. Speed-dependent analyses and averaging across multiple rotations are also supported.

With the ONNX module of ibaInSpectra, trained AI models can be integrated directly into live measurement data analysis. Models can be applied to spectra, characteristic values, or band vectors and provide outputs such as anomaly indicators, quality metrics, or alarm signals in real time.
